Passover Wiki

Passover Wiki is a website that introduces the Passover, one of the feasts of God.

The Passover, which must be celebrated each year is the first feast among the annual feasts. It also originated from the day when God freed the Israelites living as slaves in Egypt, about 3,500 years ago. (Leviticus 23:4-5, Exodus 12)

God commanded His people to keep this day for the generations to come. Furthermore, He warned that whoever did not keep the Passover, would be cut off from the people. (Exodus 12:14, Numbers 9:13) In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul preached to the early Church saints to elucidate them to the fact they must keep the Passover with the pure and true bread and to preach Christ’s sacrifice until Christ comes. (1 Corinthians 5:7-8, 11:23-26) This is the reason why we as Christians must deeply think over and study about the Passover.

Passover Wiki is a database to share researched information and resources through testimonies in the Bible about the Passover. It also includes the definition, date, meaning, the way to keep the Passover, and Passover characteristics. In addition to that, a look into the story of the first Passover in the Old Testament and the Exodus history, history of those who kept the Passover and were protected from disasters according to God's promise, and how Jesus Christ, who came as the mediator of the new covenant in the New Testament, modified the Passover (Hebrews 7:11-22; 9:15, 9:15).

Through church history let’s find out about the Passover communion debate between the Eastern and Western churches after the apostolic age, the history of the Passover abolition, and an introduction about the churches that have passed down and celebrate the Passover in this day and age.
